Learn about ways that you can make a difference at the Volunteer Capitol Hill volunteer fair at Hill Center on April 20. This inaugural event will showcase a wide variety of opportunities for volunteer service, featuring 25 non-profit organizations that do work on the Hill. Whether you are looking to make a difference in the community, develop new job skills, make new friends, or spend time together as a family, Volunteer Capitol Hill will have diverse opportunities that can easily be matched to your availability, skills, and interests.
Volunteer Capitol Hill celebrates the extraordinary contributions made by Nicky and Steve Cymrot over a period of forty years to the Capitol Hill community and, in particular, their vision and leadership in the creation of Hill Center. The event will begin with a ceremony honoring the Cymrots at 10 a.m.
Music will be provided by Blue Panamuse, a Capitol Hill-based blues and swing group, featuring a washtub base, guitar and harmonica. Light refreshments will be served.
